Classic Car & Bike Show:
Sunday 21st September
Open: 10:30am - 4:00pm
Start your engines and join us as we welcome an array of classic cars and vintage motorbikes from across the decades on display outside the museum.
Inside we’ll be firing up our incredible Sir William Prescott engine – the world’s largest working triple-expansion steam engine!
Tickets grant you all day admission to the Kempton Steam Museum, so please feel free to enter at any time. Admission ticket also include a guidebook which you can collect on entry. The Sir William Prescott engine will run several times per day.
Please note: this ticket is for museum admission only. Tickets for the Hampton Kempton Waterworks Railway must be purchased separately.
SELF-GUIDED & GUIDED TOURS
Between the hours of 10:30am-12:30pm, we also offer visitors the chance to climb our incredible Lady Bessie Prescott engine as a self-guided tour - with a free guidebook available to help you explore and navigate the engine by yourself.
Guided Tours of the engine are then available after 1:00pm and last approximately 1 hour. Places are limited to a maximum of 6 people per tour and cost an additional £3. Be sure to book your tour at the front desk when you arrive on the day to avoid missing out!
Please note: all access to the Lady Bessie Prescott engine requires climbing steep stairs and due to historic railings, only those over the height of 1.4m (4' 7") are allowed to ascend the engine.
