Steaming Weekend: June 14th & 15th
Open: 10:30-16:00
Join us for June's steaming weekend as we fire up our incredible Sir William Prescott engine – the world’s largest working triple-expansion steam engine!
Tickets grant you all day admission to the Kempton Steam Museum, so please feel free to enter at any time. Admission ticket also include a guidebook which you can collect on entry. The Sir William Prescott engine will run several times per day.
Please note: this ticket is for museum admission only. Tickets for the waterworks railway must be purchased separately.
TOURS
We also offer a self-guided tour of the Lady Bessie Prescott engine between 10:30 and 12:30. Guided tours of the engine are then available after 13:00 and can be booked on the day.
Guided tours of the static engine cost an additional £3 and require booking in person on the day. They will take place in the afternoon after 13:00 and last about an hour. The tour will require climbing steep stairs and has a minimum height limit of 1.4m (4' 7") due to the historic railings.
Places are limited and the tours run on a best endeavours basis. Should we have to cancel the tour for operational issues, we will offer a full refund for the tour. For safety reasons the tours are limited to groups of 8.
