Sensory-Friendly Sunday: 27th April
Starting this April, we’re excited to be trialling our new Sensory-Friendly Sundays, a special opening designed for visitors who prefer a quieter, more relaxed experience at the museum.
On these Sundays, we’ll open our doors from 11am - 3pm with:
✅ Reduced noise levels
✅ Softer lighting
✅ A calmer, less crowded environment
Our incredible steam engines are still here to enjoy and explore, but in a way that’s more comfortable for those with sensory sensitivities. Whether you’re neurodivergent, have sensory processing differences, or simply prefer a quieter visit, you are very warmly welcome.
Tickets grant you all day admission to the Kempton Steam Museum, so please feel free to enter at any time. Admission ticket also include a guidebook which you can collect on entry.
Tickets are £7 for adults (£8.50 with optional Gift Aid), and free for anyone under 18 and for carers.
We want to make this as accessible as possible, so if you do have any questions or suggestions, please do let us know via publicity@kemptonsteam.org or on social media.
GENERAL VISITOR INFORMATION
Please visit www.kemptonsteam.org for further information and travel details, including information about the London ULEZ.
The museum is an industrial environment containing moving machinery, steep stairs and hard surfaces. Children must remain supervised at all times.
We have an access lift which enables step free access from the ground to the main museum floor.
We look forward to welcoming you!
