Kempton Lates: Summer Evening Steaming
Saturday 16th August
Open: 6:30pm-9pm
Experience the power and grandeur of industrial heritage like never before. This August, we’re opening our doors after hours for Kempton Lates – a special summer moment to step inside our historic museum and witness the awe-inspiring Sir William Prescott engine (the world’s largest working triple-expansion steam engine!) which will be in full-steam several times throughout the evening.
Your ticket includes admission (from 6:30pm onwards) and a complimentary guidebook on arrival.
Enjoy the unique atmosphere with a pay bar and light refreshments available to purchase – the perfect way to wind down while soaking up the sights and sounds of this engineering marvel!
Whether you're a steam enthusiast or simply looking for an unforgettable night out, Kempton Lates is not to be missed.
SELF-GUIDED TOURS
During this evening opening, visitors will have the chance to climb our incredible Lady Bessie Prescott engine as a self-guided tour - with a free guidebook available to help you explore and navigate the engine by yourself.
Please note: all access to the Lady Bessie Prescott engine requires climbing steep stairs and, due to historic railings, only those over the height of 1.4m (4' 7") are allowed to ascend the engine.
